                    यदा-यदा हि धर्मस्य,ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।
                 अभ्युत्थानमर्धस्य, तदाडडत्मानं सृजाम्यहम।।

श्री भगवान ने कहा कि हे अर्जुन जब -जब धर्म कि हानि और अधर्म 

ऐसा देखा भी गया है कि जब-जब देश पर या पृथ्वी पर संकट आये तभी -तभी कोई ऐसी आत्मा अवश्य यहां पर आई कि जिसने तप्त जीवों को शान्ति पहुचाई तथा आतताइयों का विनाश किया वह चाहे काई युग हो। जैसे शरीर को नित्य स्नान न कराने वस्त्रों को नित्य स्वच्छ न करने से वह मलीन हो जाते हैं और बहुत से रोगो का कारण बन जाते हैं। ऐसे ही मन का नित्य स्वच्छ न करने और बुद्वि को पवित्र न करने से यह भी मलीन हो जाते है। अतः जब मनुष्य का मन ही दूषित हो जाता है तो शुद्व कार्य कर ही कैसे सकता है। मलीन मन तथा मलीन बुद्वि से सारे कार्य अशुभ होने ही कि तो आशा है। बस जिसके कार्य अशुभ हैं वही धर्म कि हानि होती है।

मनुष्य को इस बात का पता नही चलता कि मेरा मन दूषित हो रहा है। वह और भी अधर्म कि ओर वढ जाता है और आगे ऐसी स्थिति में पहुचता है कि वह स्वयं यह निर्णय ही नहीं करता कि कौन सा कार्य शुभ है और कौन सा अशुभ । कौन धर्म है कौन अधर्म । ऐसी दशा में राजा दुराचारी और लम्पट हो जाते हैं मन्त्री स्वार्थी और धूर्त बन जाते है। बस तभी प्रजा अनाथ कि भाति दुखी हो प्रभू से प्रार्थना करती है। ऐसा वह पूर्ण ब्रहाम् किसी नर शरीर में अवतार लेते है।

           परित्राणाय साधूनां ,विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम।
            धर्मसंस्थापनर्थाय, संभवानि युगे-युगे।।

वह प्रभू सतपुरूषों को सुख पहुचाने और दूषित कर्म करने वालेां को फिर से चरित्रवान बनाने के लिये तथा धर्म को स्थापित करने हेतु हर युग में प्रकट होते है।

इस प्रकार भगवान जो सर्व शक्तिमान है तथा जो अजन्मा और अविनाशी है वही जो सर्व भूतों के परम गति का परम आश्रय है वह केवल धर्म को स्थापित करने और संसार का उद्वार करने और संसार का उद्वार करने के लिये ही अपनी योग माया से सगुण रूप होकर प्रकट होते हैं। इस वास्ते भगवान के समान जीव का परम प्रेमी और पतित पावन दूसरा कोई नही है। ऐसे प्रभू को भूला देना ही अधर्म है। दूराचारी यदि किन्चिद भी प्रभू को स्मरण कर ले तो वह तत्काल सदाचारी हो जाता है। परन्तु वह तो श्री हरि का ही भूल जाते है।जो जीव के मूल है। इसीलिये प्रभू मनुष्य रूप में आते है।

He moves towards even more wrongdoing and reaches such a situation that he himself does not decide which work is auspicious and which is inauspicious. Which religion is wrong? In such a situation, kings become vicious and dissolute, ministers become selfish and sly. Just then, the people pray to Lord Prabhu and they are sad. Such complete Brahmas incarnate in a male body.
