दोस्तो आज मैं आपको श्री मुन्शीप्रेम चन्द्र कि एक ऐसी कहानी सुनाउगां जिससे आपको अपने जीवन मे नयी राह और चाह मिलेगी इस कहानी में किस तरह प्रेम चन्द्र जी ने घमण्डी डा0 साहब और व्यवहारिक समाज कि बेहतरीन प्रस्तुती कि है।
एक बार एक गांव में एक डा0 और एक बैध दोनो रहते थे, एक दिन बैध का लडका बीमार हो गया और बह अपने पुत्र को लेकर डा0 चडडा के पास गये बहुत विनती कि वह उनके पुत्र को एक नजर देख ले किन्तु डा0 चडडा ने उसकी दयनीय दशा पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया और सवेरे आने को कहकर गोल्फ खेलने चले गये। इस अप्रत्याशित और अभूतपूर्व व्यवहार से भगत स्तब्ध खडा रह गया। उसे विश्वास नही हो रहा था कि संसार मे ऐसे घटिया और कठोर हदय वाले व्यक्ति भी हेा सकते हैं जो अपने मनोरंजन को किसी कि जान से अधिक महत्व देते है। डा0 के व्यवहार ने उसे क्रुर सत्य पर विश्वास करने पर बाध्य कर दिया था। ये नगरवासी जो स्वयं को बडा सभ्य और सुसंस्कृत समझते है मानसिक रूप से कितने असभ्य और कठोर हृदय हैं इस सच्चाई से भगत का पहली बार और बडे पीडादायक रूप में सामना हुआ था। भगत का चकित और दुखी होना स्वाभाविक था क्योकि वह तो समाज कि उस पुरानी पीढी का प्रतिनिधि था जो कि सहयोग आौर सहानुभूति को ही सभ्यता का प्रमाण मानता था। अगर किसी के घर में आग लग जाती तो ये लोग स्वतः ही बुझाने पहुच जाते थे। किसी मुर्दे को श्मशान पहुचाने को तत्पर रहते थे। किसी के घर पर छप्पर रखवाना होता था तो उस पीढी के लोग स्वयं ही हाथ बटाने पहुच जाते थे। अपना कर्तव्य मानते थ्ेा। आज के तथाकथित सभ्यों से ये लोग निश्यच ही अधिक सभ्य थे।
फिर कुछ दिनो बाद डा0 चडडा के पुत्र कैलाश को सांप के द्वारा डस लिये जाने पर विष झाडने वाले ओझा ने आकर कहा कि जो होना था हो चुका , यह सुनकर डा0 चडडा चिड उठे और उसे फटकारने लगे। चडडा ने विष झाडने वाले ओझाा से कहा-अरे मूर्ख तू कैस्ेा कहता है जो होना था,वह हो चुका क्या हम यही होते देखाना चाहते थे,?? मां बाप तो चाहते है कि उनका बेटा सिर पर सेहरा बांधकर दूल्हा बनकर उनकी आंखेां को तृप्त करें। यह कहां हुआ??? हम अपने बेटे का विवाह कहां देख पाये हमारी भावी पुत्रवधू इस मृणालिनी कि मधुर कामनाएं बधू बनने के मनोहरी स्वप्न कहां पूरे हुए
और दोस्तो ओझा ही भगत है जो ओझा के नाम से अपनी पहचान बनाये है , भगत के मन में चेतना और उपचेतना का संघर्ष चल रहा था । चेतना उसे चडडा के व्यवहार का स्मरण कराकर उपचार हेतु जाने से रोकती थी और उसकी संस्कार जनित अन्तःप्रेरणा उसे मरते हुए सुवक कि प्राणरक्षा करने को ढेलती थी। भगत ने अपने आप को समझाया कि वह लडके का इलाज करने नहीं जा रहा है। वह वहां का दृष्य देखने और डा0 चडडा को रोते और पछाडे खाते देखने जा रहा है। मेरे मरणासन्न पुत्र पर जिसे एक नजर डालने का समय नही ंथा वही चडडा अब कैस्ेा रो रहा होगा। वह देखना चाहता है कि बडे लोग पुत्र शेाक में क्या करते है।इस प्रकार भगत अपने मन कि हिंसा और प्रतिशोध कि भावना को बहकाने कि चेष्टा कर रहा था और आगे बडता जा रहा था। और वहां पहुच कर उसका मन पलट गया और उसका उपचार कर दिया, और बगैर कुछ कहे चुप चाप वापस लौट गया। थेाडी देर बाद डा0 को याद आया कि यह तो वही बुडडा है जो अपने मरणासन्न पुत्र को लेकर आया था और मैने उसके साथ निन्दनीय व्यवहार किया था डा0 चडडा आत्मग्लानि से म रा जा रहा था। वह जानता था कि भगत निस्वार्थ सेवी व्यक्ति है । वह उपचार- प्राणदान का कोई मूल्य स्वीकार नहीं करेगा। भगत लोग तो निस्वार्थ जनसेवा से केवल यश अर्जन करने के लिये जीवन बिताते है।

आज भी ऐसे लोग है लेकिन दुख बात यह है कि कुछ तुच्छ लोगो के प्रवाह से ये संस्कृति समाप्त होने के कगार पर है अब रोड पर कुछ हो जाये सिर्फ भीड आती है और चली जाती है ।

Bhagat was stunned by this unexpected and unprecedented behavior. He could not believe that even a person with such a poor and hard heart could be in the world who values his entertainment more than anyone's life. Dr.'s behavior forced him to believe the cruel truth. These townspeople, who consider themselves to be very civilized and cultured, are mentally uncivilized and hard-hearted, for the first time Bhagat faced this truth in a very painful manner. It was natural for Bhagat to be astonished and sad because he was the representative of that old generation of society, which considered cooperation and sympathy as the proof of civilization. If there was a fire in someone's house, these people would automatically reach to extinguish it. He was always ready to deliver the crematorium to any dead. Had to have a shed at someone's house, the people of that generation used to reach out to arm themselves. He considered his duty. These people were certainly more civilized than the so-called civilians of today.
Then a few days later, when Dr. Chadda's son Kailash was bitten by a snake, the exorcist Ojha came and said that on hearing what had to happen, Dr. Chadda woke up and started reprimanding him. Chadda said to the exorcist Ojha - Hey fool, how do you say what was to happen, is that what we wanted to see happen, ?? The parents want their son to tie his head on the head and become a groom and satisfy their eyes. Where did this happen ??? Where could we see the marriage of our son, our future daughter-in-law, where did the sweetest wishes of Mrinalini fulfill her dream of becoming a boon
And friends, Ojha is the Bhagat who has made his mark in the name of Ojha, there was a struggle of consciousness and subconsciousness in Bhagat's mind. Consciousness reminded him of Chadda's behavior and prevented him from going for treatment, and his rites of inspiration inspired him to take care of his dying soul. Bhagat explained to himself that he was not going to cure the boy. He is going to see the scene there and see Dr. Chadda weeping and backstabbing. My dead son, who had no time to take a look, and the same chadda must be crying. He wants to see what the elders do in the son-shek. Thus Bhagat was trying to seduce the violence and feelings of vengeance in his mind and was moving forward. After reaching there, his mind was turned and healed him, and without saying anything, the silent arc returned. After a while Dr. remembered that it was the same Budda who had brought his dying son and that I had treated him blasphemously, Dr. Chadda was going to death with self-aggression. He knew that Bhagat was a selfless man. He will not accept any value of healing. Bhagat people spend their lives only to earn fame from selfless public service.
