हिटलर बना नेपोलियन
ऐतिहासिक युग पुरूष के सिद्वांत के प्रति यूरोपवासियों का मोह 19वीं शताब्दी में नेपोलियन के ढंग कि वीर गाथाओं से आरम्भ हुआ। इससे कुछ हद तक हिटलर और मुसोलिनी के उत्थान में भी मदद मिली। ये विचार हिटलर के मित्र अल्बर्ट स्पीयर ने अपने संस्मरणेंा में व्यक्त किए है।
आरम्भ में हिटलर नेपोलियन का अधिक प्रशंसक नहीं था। अल्बर्ट स्पीयर जो हिटलर का युद्व मंत्री बना कहता है- हिटलर कि नेपोलियन में रूचि 1940 में पैदा हुई जब वह पेरिस में नेपोलियन कि कब्र पर गया। उसने अपने केा उसी स्थिति में घिरा पाया जिसमें 1806 में नेपोलियन था । हिटलर ने भी एक महाद्वीप पर अधिकार कर लिया था , लेकिन वह इग्लैण्ड पर आक्रमण नही कर सका । वह रूस पर आक्रमण कि योजना बना रहा था। हिटलर को नेपोलियन से अपनी समानता करने के लिये मजबूर होना पडा ।जैसा कि सभी आक्रमणकारियों के साथ होता है वे पहली ही बार में पूरी जीत या सफलता चाहते है। हिटलर अपने अभियान और हेकडी का शिकार हुआ।
अप्रैल 1945 में जब जर्मनी भयंकर रणक्षेत्र बना हुआ था। हिटलर ने बर्लिन के कमान्डेट मेजर जनरल मोके को बुलाया और उससे कहा कि मैने अपने अंतिम संस्कार कि तैयारियां कर ली है । हिटलर ने जनरल से अनुरोध किया कि यदि संभव हो तो उसे 5 मई तक बचाये रखे।
मोके ने पूछा पांच मई ही क्यों 10,15 मई क्यो नहीं ?
हिटलर ने कहा नेपोलियन 5 मई को ही मरा था।

Hitler was forced to equate himself with Napoleon. As with all the invaders, they want complete victory or success in the first place. Hitler succumbed to his campaign and Hekdy.
In April 1945, when Germany remained a fierce battlefield. Hitler called Commandant Major General Möcke of Berlin and told him that I had made preparations for my funeral. Hitler requested the general to preserve it until 5 May if possible.
Mockay asked why on May 5, why not May 10, 15?
Hitler said Napoleon had died on 5 May.
